December Employee Spotlight- Rebecca Muhammad

Welcome to the Employee Spotlight! Every month we focus on a ProMax team member- what they do here to help your dealership succeed AND a little about them personally as well. This month the spotlight is on Senior Digital Account Executive Rebecca Muhammad.

Describe what you do at ProMax and how it impact our clients.

I have the wonderful opportunity to work in sales in our Digital Department. I sell our websites, credit soft pull tools, appraisal tools, and online credit applications. I get to spend my days helping dealerships generate more high quality leads, close more deals, and make more money!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I get to speak with dealerships all over the US and love to hear their success stories when they start using my products. I always do my best to make sure my customers see me as partner. I learn about their needs and goals and offer solutions that work great for them.

What do you enjoy doing most outside of work?

SPORTS! I love to watch and support my 2 daughters competing in their sports. Between the two of them they play volleyball, basketball, soccer, and softball. If I get a weekend off, I like to head up north to Wisconsin and do a little bass fishing.

What is your favorite line from a movie?
I have two: “Talk to me Goose” and “There is no crying in baseball!”

If you could learn to do anything new, what would it be?
What I need to learn is how to back the boat trailer down the ramp. What I would like to learn is skeet shooting.

What are 3 words you’d use to describe working at ProMax?
Family, supportive, fun

Who would play you in a movie about your life, and what would the title of the movie be?
Mia Hamm – Determined to Win and Raise Some Kick A$$ Kids!

At what age did you become an adult, and how did you know it happened?
27 when my first daughter was born. From that point forward, I feel like every decision I make is based on my kids.

What 3 traits define you?
Driven to succeed, ability to offer “Mom advice” for our department, and my strong shoe and sock game.

What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
Invest in Apple, Amazon, and Bitcoin as soon as you can!

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I traveled over to Spain in the summer of 1992 and performed with a touring group for the pre-Olympic festivals. I twirled baton for most of the shows and we also did a couple routines with our fire batons.

What advice would you give to recent new hires?
Learn as much about the industry as you can. Ask questions, be confident, and get ready to be a part of an amazing company. Don’t be afraid to offer ideas that will continue to make our company and products better.

What does true leadership mean to you?
To me, leadership is the ability to motivate a group or person to achieve a goal. The true leaders in my life pursue personal development, encourage strategic thinking and action, have strong ethics, and are good communicators.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by positive people. I have a couple favorites I like to follow on Twitter. Each morning when I check my phone, they are the first videos and posts I read. I like to start each day with awesome and motivational messages. Sounds kind of nerdy but it really puts me in a great mindset to start my day.

If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?
Time travel would be awesome.

What are you looking forward to in the next year?
We are about to enter very exciting times for ProMax. We have some new products on the horizon and our leadership team is amazing. I’m excited to work with them as we grow the company.
