Welcome to the Employee Spotlight! Every month we focus on a ProMax team member- what they do here to help your dealership succeed AND a little about them personally as well. This month the spotlight is on Senior Dealer Support Specialist Allison Mangan.
Describe what you do at ProMax and how it impacts our clients.
I manage CRM accounts, most of which are dealer groups. I release their system initially, assist with training and provide regular follow up. I am the dealership’s first point of contact. I put the dealer at ease knowing someone is always here to help.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Working with a great team. We are super close and not a day goes by that I don’t laugh at least once.
What do you enjoy doing most outside of work?
Working out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
What is your favorite line from a movie?
“Tommy want wingy” -Tommy Boy
If you could learn to do anything new, what would it be?
To code. I feel this is a very important skill and will be even more important in the future.
What are 3 words you’d use to describe working at ProMax?
Fulfilling, fast-paced, unique.
Who would play you in a movie about your life, and what would the title of the movie be?
Meghan Markle, “You Might Think You Know Me.”
At what age did you become an adult, and how did you know it happened?
25 or 26. Your early to mid-20s are strange. Everybody warns you about your teen/high school years and how hard they can be, but no one mentions your early to mid-20s which I think is more difficult. You are trying to figure out “adulting,” the type of person you are, and what you stand for. I would say by 25 or 26 I had a good grasp on that.
What 3 traits define you?
Reliable, determined, and disciplined.
What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
Relax and enjoy every minute of childhood because it goes by so fast, and you can never get it back. It’s cliché but true.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I played flag football in second grade. I was the only girl in the league.
What advice would you give to recent new hires?
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable for a little bit. There is a lot to learn, and it can seem overwhelming at first, but just try your best and ask questions.
What does true leadership mean to you?
Leadership to me is leading by example and always being willing to help. Actions truly speak louder than words.
What inspires you?
My parents. They both had to grow up very quicky and became parents themselves at only 19. They are two of the funniest people I know and some of my best friends. They are also two of the hardest working people I know and deserve all their success.
If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?
Time travel. I love history so I think it would be interesting to experience some things from the past.
What are you looking forward to most this year?
My husband and I are expecting our first child, so meeting our baby! He or she is not due until the first few days of January 2022, but I hope that still counts.
