Welcome to the Employee Spotlight! Every month we focus on one ProMax team member- what they do here to help your dealership succeed AND a little about them personally as well. This month the spotlight is on Lakisya Jones!
Lakisya, describe what you do at ProMax and how it impacts our clients.
I am a part of the BDC team, and I am the BDC Supervisor. I am the “glue” between my team and the dealership. I help to ensure that the daily tasks are complete based on workplans, new leads, and making sure to address any issues and compliments from dealerships. I play a huge role ensuring my team is an extension of the dealership’s onsite team. My role impacts our clients by making sure that they get what they are paying for, meaning good quality work on leads in a timely manner and setting quality appointments.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Being able to conquer the day! Simply by making sure that my team understands what we are here to do and executing in a timely manner. I love helping my team to grow, not only as a team but as individuals.
What do you enjoy doing most outside of work?
Spending time with my family and shopping. My favorite pastimes are taking pictures and decorating.
What is your favorite line from a movie?
“I’ll be back!” from The Terminator. That’s how I feel every day. I am a conqueror so that helps me know that nothing is ever finished until its 100% complete.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Cure cancer, because I have lost so many close friends and relatives.
What are 3 words you’d use to describe working at ProMax?
Family-oriented, challenging, and rewarding.
Who would play you in a movie about your life, and what would the title of the movie be?
To make it as real as possible I’d choose myself. And the title would be “In A Nutshell…”
What 3 traits define you?
Consistent, blunt, and resilient.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I am a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do!
What does true leadership mean to you?
True leadership to me means supporting your team. Support means addressing any issues and helping your team to come up with a solution. True leadership means being a human being and to ensure that you show compassion, understanding, and care for others. Also means to being on the front line with everyone else by setting an example.
What inspires you?
Independent, hardworking people that want to grow and seek knowledge on how to expand their horizons, whether it be at work or personal.
