Important Notice for Dealers Who Use NADA Book Values

Changes Coming to NADA Book Values-

ACTION REQUIRED

ProMax Dealers,

In order to improve accuracy we have been updating inventory processes in ProMax over the last few months. Updates to NADA Book Values are next up, and are being rolled out in phases. If your dealership uses NADA, you will be seeing some changes over the next several weeks.

What are these changes and when can I expect them?

Beginning this week we are activating dealers for the first phase of these updates. Once your dealership is activated, the styles of some vehicles in ProMax will no longer be an exact match with how NADA lists them, requiring action on your part. Phase two won't begin until phase one is complete, and you will be notified separately at that time.

What action is required on my part?

In order to ensure all of your vehicle listings are exact matches with NADA, you will need to go to your Unbooked Inventory Report and look for vehicles with "Select NADA match" in their Description:

I see some vehicles with "Select NADA match"; now what do I do?

Opening any of these vehicle records triggers the "NADA Possible Match" popup containing a list of possible vehicle descriptions. From this popup you will be prompted to select the proper Style/Description and then "Save":

You will be presented with this popup any time you open an inventory record for a vehicle that is not an exact match, regardless of where you are opening it from.

What happens if I don't select these matches?

Once the first phase is complete and we begin phase two a few weeks from now, vehicles you have NOT selected a match for will be at risk of not displaying any equipment or values.

ProMax Version Release 2020.6.10.1 - June 11, 2020

Updated Inventory and Trade Screens

In order to improve accuracy we've been updating the process for booking inventory in ProMax over the last several months. Many of these enhancements have been back-end changes not very noticeable to users, but now we're unveiling some updated screens: the Used Inventory record, and the Trade screen. These updated screens feature a more intuitive interface to improve the process of selecting equipment and booking out vehicles.

The Used Inventory Record

The Used Inventory record now features "Verify" buttons for the Standard Equipment list and each book value in use by your dealership. (The updated NADA has not yet rolled out to dealers, so it doesn't yet have a "Verify" button; the Kelley Blue Book and Black Book update rollouts are complete, so they do have a "Verify" button. The NADA update is coming soon.)

To make changes to equipment, you must click on one of these "Verify" buttons or the Standard Equipment hyperlink. Clicking the "Verify" button will open the Equipment Details pop up. As we've mentioned previously, it's important to check the appropriate equipment for each book value. When finished booking out the vehicle, click the ‘All equipment has been verified’ checkbox at the bottom of each equipment list:

When these boxes are checked and saved, the yellow "Verify" buttons will turn to green "Verified" buttons:

The Trade Screen

The Trade screen works similarly to the Used Inventory record. To select equipment, click a yellow "Verify" button to access the Equipment Details popup:

Then select the appropriate equipment for each book and when complete, check the "All equipment has been verified" checkbox for each book. The yellow "Verify" buttons will now be green "Verified" buttons.

Update to Equipment Notes

As we've updated the process for booking inventory we've also updated Equipment Notes. Going forward, each piece of equipment that is changed will record the book it was changed for in the note. When a vehicle is created, an Initial Equipment Selection note will list any equipment that ProMax auto-selected at the time of creation.
